This morning at Cobham, the group and Tuchel’s coaching staff gathered before heading off to the airport board their place to Ireland. A training session is planned for this afternoon following the Blues arrival.
The likes of N’Golo Kante, Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Antonio Rudiger and Mateo Kovacic are expected to report back for pre-season training this week had three weeks off after their exploits at Euro 2020, but football.london understands none of that quartet have travelled to Ireland.
It’s unclear whether they will do as things stands or whether they will begin pre-season work at Cobham.
The group that has travelled to Dublin is made-up of the players who have been training over the past week, minus Tino Anjorin and Ian Maatsen.
The Chelsea squad that is understood to have flown to Ireland is below.
Goalkeepers: Edouard Mendy, Kepa Arrizabalga, Jamie Cumming, Lucas Bergstrom
Defenders: Dujon Sterling, Davide Zappacosta, Trevoh Chalobah, Jake Clarke-Salter, Malang Sarr, Matt Miazga, Marcos Alonso, Baba Rahman
Midfielders: Ross Barkley, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Conor Gallagher, Lewis Baker
